SPEAKERS SPOTLIGHT
Dr. Syed Muhammad Sibtain is a dedicated trauma surgeon with MBBS, FCPS, and A.O. Trauma credentials. He serves at a leading tertiary care trauma hospital while also leading BLS courses, organizing emergency surgical camps, and mentoring future surgeons through his educational social media platform.
Dr. Rabeeia Parwez is an Orthopaedics-themed Core Surgical Trainee (CST-1) at Basildon University Hospital, UK. A 2017 graduate of Shifa College of Medicine, Pakistan, she holds a PG Cert in Medical Education and is passionate about guiding young doctors into surgical careers.
Dr. Ali Shan is a Cardiothoracic Surgeon at Bart’s Health NHS Trust. A 2011 graduate of Ziauddin University, he has completed both MRCS and FRCS qualifications.
Dr. Wardah Rafaqat is a surgical resident at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics. A graduate of Aga Khan University, she co-founded a platform connecting hospitals and patients for emergency resource allocation. She later conducted trauma surgery research at Massachusetts General Hospital, focusing on improving care systems and outcomes for critically injured patients.
Dr. Muhammad bin Atif, a 2022 graduate of Dow University of Health Sciences, is an Internal Medicine resident at UPMC. With a Step 2 CK score of 269, he combines academic excellence with a passion for service. He has volunteered at medical camps in Karachi through DIPCA and now serves Pittsburgh’s underserved communities through UPMC’s Street Medicine program.
Kim Le is the founder of the Youth Surgical Alliance (YSA) and a graduate student pursuing an MS in Entrepreneurial Leadership at Texas A&M University and an MHA at Louisiana State University. She has founded four nonprofit startups focused on creating meaningful local and international impact, with YSA dedicated to supporting students pursuing surgical careers.
